Skopje bridge construction enters final phase for year-end opening

Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski, alongside Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Karposh Mayor Sotir Lukrovski, inspected the construction progress of the bridge on Ljubljanska Street. The project, which aims to connect Ljubljanska and Skupi streets, is in its final phase and is expected to be operational by the end of the year.

The bridge is designed to provide a new traffic link between the northern and western parts of Skopje, improving access to Zlokukjani, Bardovci, and the Industrial Zone. It will also offer a faster route to the bypass, helping to reduce congestion on Partizanski Odredi and Ilindenska boulevards. Officials noted that previous delays caused by the need for permits from the Conservation Center for the protection of the ‘Skupi’ site have been resolved.

The infrastructure includes a 12-meter wide roadway with four lanes, as well as pedestrian and bicycle paths. Additionally, work is proceeding on a 70,000 square meter mega park in the Karposh municipality.
