Skopje mayor Orce Gjorgievski announces free uniforms for first‑year secondary students

Mayor Orce Gjorgievski of Skopje said that, beginning in September, every student enrolled in the first year of secondary schools in the city will receive a free school uniform. The measure aims to reduce social and economic differences among pupils, lessen the financial burden on families, and create a more equal and safe learning environment. Gjorgievski emphasized that the policy will allow students to focus on education rather than on the cost of clothing, aligning Skopje’s schools with practices used in many modern education systems.
