Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgievski Announces Tunnel Link and Cable Car Overhaul

Skopje mayor Orce Gjorgievski said construction will begin in the coming weeks on the second phase of the underground traffic tunnel under Limak, linking it to the Macedonia Boulevard. The project is intended to ease congestion in the city centre and includes additional roundabouts at the tunnel entrances.

Gjorgievski also announced that a tender will be issued soon for the complete refurbishment of the Vodno cable car and reiterated the ongoing removal of illegal structures, citing recent demolition of the “Ali” kiosk and plans to clear other obstacles to improve pedestrian and cyclist routes.
