Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgievski Restores City Park After Storm Damage

Mayor Orce Gjorgievski of Skopje posted a video showing the City Park returning to normal after a severe storm that struck the capital. The weather knocked down more than 100 trees, blocked pedestrian pathways and damaged urban equipment.

City teams quickly cleared the first section of the park, removed fallen trees, repaired the damaged infrastructure and planted new saplings. Work is also under way in the second section to clear debris, replace damaged trees and restore facilities. The mayor thanked the municipal workers and emergency services for their round‑the‑clock effort, emphasizing that the park is now safe, clean and green for residents.

The restoration will continue until the entire park is fully repaired.
