Skopje police arrest two for attempted murder and domestic violence

Skopje police have arrested two individuals following separate violent incidents involving an attempted murder and domestic violence.

A 37-year-old man, identified as D.V., was arrested for the attempted murder of a 38-year-old resident following an argument on August 7, 2026. The suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a knife, causing serious bodily injuries. He was apprehended shortly after the incident, and a judge has ordered 30 days of detention.

In a separate case, a 57-year-old man, identified as S.R., was arrested for domestic violence. He is suspected of repeatedly physically attacking his 47-year-old wife and their three children. During the most recent incident on August 7, he allegedly used a hard object to attack his wife and daughter, causing serious and minor bodily injuries respectively. He has been placed in eight days of detention.
