Skopje skate community launches fundraiser for Karposh park renovation

The skate community in Skopje has launched a fundraising campaign to renovate the aging skate park in the Karposh municipality. The initiative seeks donations from citizens, parents, companies, and organizations to restore the facility to a safe and functional state.

Due to years of intensive use, the park's current elements are in poor condition, including damaged wooden surfaces, loose metal rails, and unstable or corroded structures. The funds raised will be used to replace composite and wooden elements with more durable concrete solutions, repair riding surfaces, renovate ramps, and install new metal edges and rails.

The Karposh Municipality has already issued the necessary permits for the renovation. The community emphasizes that the park serves as a vital, free, and accessible space for youth to practice skateboarding, rollerblading, and BMX without financial barriers.
