Skopje’s Idadia Clinic Begins 31‑Million‑Denar Reconstruction

Reconstruction work has started on the Idadia Polyclinic in Skopje, an investment worth more than 31 million Macedonian denars. The project, titled “Reconstruction of the JZU Health Centre Skopje – Idadia Polyclinic with measures to increase energy efficiency,” is being implemented through the Energy Efficiency in the Public Sector programme under the Ministry of Finance, in partnership with the World Bank and the Western Balkans Investment Framework.

A grant agreement between the Health Centre Skopje and the Ministry of Finance was signed in December 2025, followed by a public procurement process and a contract with the selected contractor signed in March 2024. The renovation includes a new thermal‑insulating façade, roof insulation, full replacement of façade windows, modernization of the central heating system, installation of energy‑efficient LED lighting, and a complete overhaul of the electrical installations. The upgrades aim to cut electricity and heating consumption, lower operating costs, and provide better working conditions for medical staff and safer, higher‑quality facilities for the thousands of patients who use the clinic daily.
