Skroutz reports 19.5% increase in Back to School orders
Skroutz reported a 19.5% increase in orders and an 18.4% rise in total turnover during its Back to School period, spanning August 16 to September 16, 2026. Despite the growth in volume, consumers maintained cautious spending habits, with the average basket value remaining steady at 38 euros.
To manage budgets, shoppers increasingly utilized flexible payment options, with Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services accounting for 6.7% of transactions. Card payments were the primary method at 74.6%, while cash on delivery dropped to 10.3%. The company also distributed over 3.17 million Skroutz Coins through its rewards program.
The platform saw significant regional engagement, with 33% of turnover originating from partner stores located outside of Attica and Thessaloniki, and 41.8% of total orders directed toward provincial consumers. The ‘Fulfilled by Skroutz’ service experienced a 128.8% surge in orders handled. Additionally, 57.1% of orders were delivered to Skroutz Point locations, and 51.4% of purchases were made via the mobile app.
