Skroutz reports 30% increase in orders during summer sales
Skroutz reported a 30% increase in orders and an 11% rise in sales during its recent summer sales period compared to the previous year. While the average basket size remained stable at approximately €63 per order, the average total spending per consumer throughout the sales period rose by 8% to reach €150.
Fashion and Health & Beauty were among the top categories for consumer spending. Fashion specifically accounted for 32% of discounted purchases and saw the highest average discount rate at 16%, compared to a general average of 12% across all categories. Other notable growth areas included Books, which saw a 71% increase in discounted product sales, followed by Auto & Moto at 47% and Pets at 33%.
Peak order volumes occurred on the first and last days of the sales period, July 13 and August 31. Similar consumer trends were observed in Cyprus, where spending was primarily concentrated in the Fashion, Health & Beauty, and Technology sectors.
