Skuodas marks the start of the new school year

The new school year has commenced in Lithuania, marked by celebrations in the Skuodas district. On September 1, festivities including music and performances were held in Skuodas City Park to celebrate Knowledge and Wisdom Day.

In preparation for the upcoming academic cycle, the Skuodas Bartuva Gymnasium hosted an annual educational conference titled ‘2026–2027 school year: change’. The event featured insights from the minister and focused on upcoming changes in the education system. Additionally, local concerns were raised regarding proposed changes to the Knowledge and Understanding (KET) curriculum, with local sports instructors expressing apprehension regarding the impact on children.
