Skydance film chiefs confirm independent operations for Paramount and Warner Bros
Following the $111 billion merger involving Skydance, Paramount, and Warner Bros., new Skydance Motion Picture Group co-chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein have issued a memo to staff outlining the organizational structure.
The leadership confirmed that major film divisions, including Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, will continue to operate as distinct labels. Each studio will maintain its own brand, release its own slates, and feature its respective logo on films.
DC Studios will also remain a separate entity with its own mandate. Unlike the other film divisions, DC Studios Co-Chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran will report directly to CEO David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz, rather than to the new Motion Picture Group co-chairs. Other specialty and animation labels, such as New Line Cinema and Paramount Primal, will also function independently.
