Slipknot drummer Eloy Casagrande confirms new album progress

Slipknot drummer Eloy Casagrande has confirmed that the band is working on a new full-length studio album, noting that he has completed recording his drum tracks. The musician stated that the recording process for the drums was finished approximately one to two weeks ago.

Casagrande described the songwriting process as a collaborative effort that began late last year, involving jamming sessions with guitarist Jim Root and percussionist Clown. He emphasized that the band is prioritizing “making real music” over commercial interests or marketability, aiming to create something they are proud of rather than focusing on sales or arena potential.

The upcoming eighth album is being produced by Matt Wallace. This marks the band’s first new material in three years, following the release of the single “Arsenal,” and is the first project to feature Casagrande following the departure of Sid Wilson.
