Slovak banks lift fees, some rise over 350% starting July 2026
From 1 July 2026 the five largest Slovak banks – VÚB, ČSOB, Slovenská sporiteľňa, 365 bank and Poštová banka – will revise their price lists. Paper‑based services become markedly more expensive: VÚB’s fee for a printed transaction history jumps from €1.10 to €5, a rise of more than 355 %. ČSOB raises the cost of a paper statement from €4 to €5 and increases cash‑deposit fees. Poštová banka lifts paper‑statement fees to €5 and raises the senior‑account fee to €4. Digital services see modest cuts, such as a reduction in e‑wallet recharge fees at VÚB. Some banks also cancel fees on certain consumer‑loan services. The changes push customers toward electronic channels while sharply increasing costs for analogue banking.
