Slovak cultural groups perform at international festivals in Italy

Slovak cultural groups recently participated in international festivals in Italy, showcasing national traditions through music and dance.

The Bl. P. P. Gojdič Choir from Vranov nad Topľou attended the VI. Cultural Dialogue on the Same Stage festival in Rimini from August 2 to 7, 2026. The group performed spiritual and choral works in Old Church Slavonic, representing Slovak religious heritage. During their visit, members also explored historical sites in Ravenna and San Marino.

Additionally, the Skaličan Folklore Ensemble participated in the 47th Rassegna Internazionale del Folklore in Castiglione del Lago, Umbria, between August 11 and 15, 2026. The ensemble completed six performances across various locations, including Moiano, Camucia, Cortona, and Badiaccia, culminating in a festival held at an ancient amphitheater. The group was supported by the Fund for the Support of the Arts.
