Slovak Football Federation Cuts Coaching Staff Costs by €46,000 Monthly

The Slovak Football Association (SFZ) renegotiated contracts with the newly appointed coaching team led by head coach Vladimír Weiss senior. The revised agreements save the federation about €46,000 each month. Contracts run until 30 November 2027 with an extension clause tied to qualification for Euro 2028 and an option for the 2030 World Cup cycle. Assistant coaches Ľuboš Benkovský, Marek Hamšík, Štefan Markulič and Vladimír Weiss junior have also secured new terms. The national team’s 2024 schedule includes six Nations League C‑division matches against Moldova, Kazakhstan, and the Faroe Islands.

The financial adjustments come after preliminary fixtures against Malta (2–1) and Montenegro (2–2). SFZ vice‑president Karol Belaník confirmed the savings and affirmed that all coaching contracts are now formally signed.
