Slovak Ministry of Interior orders 100 Škoda Kodiaq SUVs
The Slovak Ministry of Interior has ordered 100 new Škoda Kodiaq SUVs to modernize the vehicle fleet of the Police Force and other departmental units. The total value of the contract is approximately 3.86 million euros including VAT, with the vehicles themselves accounting for roughly 3.7 million euros. The remaining funds cover winter wheel sets and servicing.
The selected vehicles feature 2.0 TSI petrol engines producing 150 kW (approximately 204 hp), seven-speed DSG automatic transmissions, and all-wheel drive. The procurement specifications required a minimum combined power of 140 kW and explicitly excluded plug-in hybrid vehicles.
To enhance officer safety and operational reliability, the SUVs will be equipped with various electronic assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, emergency braking systems for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, and Full LED headlights. The vehicles will be silver, five-door models with a maximum of 40 kilometers on the odometer at the time of delivery.
