Slovak municipalities organize autumn waste collection

Several municipalities in Slovakia are conducting autumn waste collection and recycling programs.

In the Gemer region, Revúca is deploying large-capacity containers for bulky waste, electronic waste, and hazardous materials through September 30, 2026. Rimavská Sobota has scheduled bulky waste collection for its residents and districts from October 2 to October 15, 2026. Tornaľa is scheduled to collect electronic and hazardous waste on September 23 and 28, while towns including Rudná, Klenovec, and Hnúšťa are organizing the purchase of paper and edible oils.

In Ružomberok, the city is collaborating with partner T+T, a. s. to place large-capacity containers across various districts. Collection is organized for local residents between 7:00 and 19:00, and citizens are advised to bring identification. Residents are reminded that tires should not be left at these stations but can be taken to tire distributors or the local landfill.
