Autumn waste collection in Slovakia

Overview

Various municipalities in Slovakia are implementing autumn waste collection and recycling programs.

In the Gemer region, Revúca is deploying large-capacity containers for bulky, electronic, and hazardous waste through September 30, 2026. Rimavská Sobota has scheduled bulky waste collection from October 2 to October 15, 2026, while Tornaľa is set to collect electronic and hazardous waste on September 23 and 28. Other towns, including Rudná, Klenovec, and Hnúšťa, are organizing the purchase of paper and edible oils.

In Ružomberok, the city is working with partner T+T, a. s. to place large-capacity containers across districts for local residents. Collection is organized between 7:00 and 19:00. Authorities have advised citizens to bring identification and noted that tires should be taken to tire distributors or local landfills rather than these collection stations.
