Slovak police raid targets large-scale cocaine trafficking

The National Anti-Drug Unit of the Presidium of the Police Force conducted an early morning operation, codenamed ‘Finisher 2’, targeting serious drug crime in Martin and the village of Bystrička.

During the raid, police detained three individuals and charged two men, aged 25 and 34, with the extremely serious crime of illegal production and trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances. Authorities allege the suspects were involved in the distribution of cocaine on an exceptionally large scale.

Officers conducted searches of homes, persons, and various premises, seizing cash, telecommunications equipment, and substances that are currently undergoing forensic analysis. If convicted, the two accused men face prison sentences ranging from 10 to 25 years or life imprisonment.
