Slovakian drug trafficking police operations
Overview
Slovakian police have conducted multiple targeted operations against drug-related criminal activity.
On October 19, the National Anti-Drug Unit executed an early morning operation codenamed ‘Finisher 2’ in Martin and the village of Bystrička. This raid targeted large-scale cocaine trafficking, resulting in the detention of three individuals. Two men, aged 25 and 34, were charged with the illegal production and trafficking of narcotic and psychotropic substances. Authorities seized cash, telecommunications equipment, and various substances during searches of homes and premises. The accused face potential sentences ranging from 10 to 25 years or life imprisonment.
On October 27, police launched a separate operation named ‘Spoločnosť’ in Košice and surrounding areas to investigate drug-related crime. Spokesperson Roman Hájek confirmed that three suspects were detained during the initial stages of the operation.
