Slovak Telekom Wins Multiple Speedtest Awards and Launches Private 5G Campus in Košice

Slovak Telekom was recognised by Ookla’s Speedtest as Slovakia’s top‑rated mobile network, earning seven awards that cover the best mobile, 5G and gaming experiences. The accolades are based on more than 4.3 million user measurements collected in the first half of 2026. The operator also highlighted its investment of over €170 million in network and 5G development during the previous year.

In parallel, Slovak Telekom, together with the Technical University in Košice and SOVA Digital, opened a private 5G standalone (SA) campus. The test environment demonstrates ultra‑low latency (under 10 ms), speeds up to 1 Gbps and the capacity to connect up to one million devices per square kilometre. The platform is used to trial industrial logistics, robotics and energy‑monitoring scenarios, allowing firms to validate technologies before full‑scale deployment.
