Igor Matovič fuels Slovak election fever with scandalous video, charity payouts and criticism of rival parties

Slovak political leader Igor Matovič posted a video from his visit to Nové Zámky showing a 69‑year‑old supporter exposing herself after he signed campaign merchandise, saying the clip would be released online.

Matovič also toured Slovak towns offering 200 euros in food vouchers to participants of a quiz that criticized rival prime minister Robert Fico, framing the giveaways as charity funded by public money.

Progressive Slovakia MP Štefan Kišš accused the coalition partner Hlas of misusing about 31 million euros intended for science, citing low hourly pay for party assistants and linking the practice to Matovič’s previous fiscal policies; Hlas rejected the allegations.

In a separate interview, former minister Peter Pčolinský discussed his return to politics, mentioning Matovič and stressing challenges such as rising living costs, high taxes, and the need for government action ahead of the October elections.
