Slovakia launches new Green Homes II subsidy program

The Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) is launching the second phase of the ‘Zelená domácnostiam’ (Green Homes) project to support the installation of renewable energy equipment. A total of 28.6 million euros is available for these subsidies.

Registration will occur in two stages. Starting October 26, households can fill out a simplified form with basic information regarding the installation site and property ownership. From November 2, applicants can officially reserve financial resources. SIEA Director General Michal Fiala noted that because support conditions have changed significantly, previous applications are not valid, and all interested parties must re-register through the new system.

Funds will be released progressively based on the order of requests in the reservation queue. Once a reservation is confirmed, households have 45 days to complete their installations.
