Slovakia police hiring offers €5,000 bonus and housing aid

Slovakia's Interior Ministry has opened a nationwide recruitment campaign for new police officers. Applicants need only a secondary school diploma with a graduation exam; training will provide the required legal and tactical skills.

The recruitment package includes a one‑time signing bonus of €5,000 and a housing contribution of up to €700 per month to help new officers relocate. Recruits receive a salary of €1,500 while still in training, eliminating the need for unpaid apprenticeships. Additional benefits cover six weeks of vacation, paid leave, child‑care allowances and long‑term career development opportunities within the Police Force.

The initiative aims to address staffing challenges in the force by making the profession more financially attractive and stable for prospective candidates across all regions of the country.
