Slovakia reports high‑speed electric scooter crash and separate truck collision

In Bratislava, a 16‑year‑old rider on an electric scooter reached speeds of up to 100 km/h, ignored police commands, and fled through city streets before crashing into a parked vehicle. The rider was unharmed, tested negative for alcohol, and the scooter was seized for expert analysis.

In the Prievidza district near Liešťany, two heavy‑load trucks collided, rendering the II/574 road section impassable in both directions. Police responded to the scene, securing the area and advising drivers to follow instructions.

Both incidents prompted police intervention and traffic safety warnings.
