Slovakia's NDS signs three-year highway repair agreement
The National Highway Company (NDS) has signed a three-year framework agreement for asphalt roadway repairs within the Malacky highway management center. The contract, valued at up to 3.65 million euros excluding VAT, was awarded to a group of suppliers led by Metrostav DS and Colas Slovakia.
The agreement covers the D2 motorway from the Czech border to the Lamač junction in Bratislava, sections of the D4 motorway, and various rest areas and maintenance facilities. Work will be commissioned progressively based on technical needs and available funding, involving both large-scale repairs (over 200 square meters) and local fixes.
In a separate ongoing maintenance effort, NDS is also conducting repairs on the D1 motorway near Bratislava. Recent work included renewing the slow lane on two sections in the Bratislava region, with upcoming repairs scheduled for the section past the Bernolákovo junction toward Žilina. These deep repairs involve milling approximately 20 centimeters of old asphalt and replacing it with three new layers to improve safety and driver comfort.
