Slovenia expands residential and care facilities for elderly populations
New residential and care infrastructure for the elderly has been launched in two Slovenian locations. In Dolenjske Toplice, the Srebrni gaj neighborhood has opened, featuring 53 apartments and 28 single-family houses designed for seniors and people with disabilities. Developed by GH Holding in cooperation with the municipality, the project includes the Srebrni gaj Park, which has been transferred to the municipality for management.
In Krmelj, a new residential unit providing 16 places for elderly residents has been inaugurated. The project, valued at approximately three million euros, was funded by the Ministry with roughly two million euros, while the remaining funds were provided by the Impoljca Home for Retirees and Caregivers. The Municipality of Sevnica supported the project by providing land and assisting with infrastructure such as parking and drainage.
