Slovenia invests in new public and private housing projects

The Housing Fund of the Republic of Slovenia has signed contracts for the construction of 450 public rental apartments in Kranj, Celje, and Mirna. The total value of these projects exceeds 62 million euros. A significant portion of this investment is dedicated to a new residential neighborhood by the Sava River in Kranj, where 269 apartments will be built across ten multi-apartment buildings. This project, valued at nearly 37 million euros, includes the development of external surfaces, landscaping, and connection to utility and energy infrastructure.

In the Krško municipality, several housing projects are in various stages of preparation, forecasting more than 350 new apartments. These include developments by the company Rudar Senovo and private investors. Rudar Senovo plans multi-apartment buildings in Krško, Senovo, and Brestanica. Specifically, two buildings totaling 30 apartments are planned for Senovo with an estimated value of 6.82 million euros, while a final multi-apartment object is planned for the Sremiška cesta complex in Krško, valued at 2.72 million euros. The commencement of these projects depends on securing financing, with potential applications for upcoming non-profit housing tenders.

Additionally, European funds have been approved for a greening project in the center of Cerklje na Gorenjskem. The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development approved over 788,000 euros from the European Regional Development Fund for this 2.5 million euro project, which aims to renovate 1.59 hectares of urban space.
