Ljubljana to host high‑profile Volleyball Nations League tournament

The Men’s Volleyball Nations League will be staged in Ljubljana’s Stožice arena from 24 to 28 June. Six national teams – Italy, Bulgaria, Brazil, Ukraine, Canada and the host Slovenia – will compete. Slovenia entered the event after a solid showing in China, recording three victories and one loss.

Organizer Metod Ropret highlighted the tournament’s growth, noting the matches will be broadcast on VOYO and Kanal A, and that the venue will feature new lighting and promotional activities. Captain Tine Urnaut praised the strength of the participating squads, calling it “the strongest tournament ever held in Slovenia,” and expressed confidence that local fans will fill the arena and boost the team’s performance.

The event is part of Slovenia’s broader effort to showcase its capability to host major volleyball competitions, following previous editions of the Nations League and other international tournaments.
