Slovenian and Serbian election polls reveal changing voter support

A recent poll in Slovenia shows the Janša government losing ground, with only 36.8% of respondents backing the cabinet and 46.6% opposing it. If a vote were held today, the ruling Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) would obtain about 22.9% of the vote, staying ahead of Robert Golob’s Freedom Movement at 20.5%, followed by New Slovenia, Levica, and other parties. The survey also ranked politicians, placing President Nataša Pirc Musar top, Social Democrats’ Matjaž Hanu second, and Finance Minister Andrej Šircelj third.

In Serbia, CRTA analyst Raša Nedeljkov said the latest face‑to‑face poll – conducted by CRTA and Stanford’s Democracy Action Lab – indicated strong support for the Studentska lista (44.9% of respondents), with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) at 35.7% and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) at 3.8%. Nedeljkov criticised the political climate, arguing that opposition parties are treated as collateral victims in a system where public trust in parties is low.
