Slovenian cultural festivals draw significant local audiences

Cultural festivals in Slovenia are seeing significant local engagement through theatrical and cinematic events. At Studenec pri Krtini, the Cultural Summer Festival’s production of the musical comedy ‘Habakuk’ attracted 8,000 visitors across its premiere and ten subsequent performances. Directed by Alojz Stražar, the production utilized an adapted historical text set before World War II.

In Jarenina, the Ovtar Jarenina Tourist Society is organizing an outdoor screening of the classic Slovenian film ‘Petelinji zajtrk’. Following the success of previous film events, the screening will take place in a natural amphitheater at the Valdek estate. Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets for seating on the grass.
