Slovenian judokas secure medals at Budapest Grand Slam

Slovenian judokas achieved significant results at the Grand Slam in Budapest. Kaja Kajzer Žabkar secured a silver medal in the under 63 kg category after a close overtime loss (0:1) to Japan's Megu Danno.

In the under 78 kg category, Metka Lobnik reached the semifinals after defeating Croatia's Karlo Kulić and France's Fanny Estelle Posvite, before losing to Japan's Mao Izumi. Lobnik moved on to compete for a bronze medal against Germany's Julie Hölterrhoff.

Other notable performances included David Štarkel winning bronze in the 60 kg category and Gal Bertalanič Žižek securing a victory in the 100 kg category. Nace Herkovič finished fifth in the 81 kg category after losing the bronze medal match to Azerbaijan's Vusal Galandarzade.
