Slovenian municipalities Sveta Trojica and Ajdovščina receive development awards

The Zlati kamen awards have recognized significant developmental progress within Slovenian municipalities. The municipality of Sveta Trojica in Slovenske Gorice received the prestigious award for being one of the most progressive municipalities in the country. Under the leadership of Mayor David Klobasa, the municipality saw a major turnaround on the ISSO index (Information System of Slovenian Municipalities), climbing 89 places to reach 33rd position out of 212 municipalities.

In western Slovenia, Ajdovščina was honored as the most progressive municipality. Notably, Ajdovščina reached the top spot among all 212 Slovenian municipalities according to the ISSO index, surpassing the capital, Ljubljana. Mayor Tadej Beočanin attributed this success to improved strategic planning and projects such as a functional solar community providing electricity to 180 households, a learning center for fruit and herb growing, and the mAjdovščina application.
