Slovenian police report multiple thefts and traffic accidents in July

The Operational Communication Centre of the Police Administration in Celje recorded 790 citizen calls over three days, of which 214 required police intervention. Calls covered criminal activity, border matters, traffic safety and public order.

Significant thefts were reported: two bicycles were taken from a residential block in Slovenj Gradc, a motorbike was stolen in Šentjur, about 600 litres of fuel were taken from a parked truck, and several bank cards were removed from a vehicle in Jezerca. Additional property damage included broken windows, damaged doors and stolen cash.

Five serious traffic accidents occurred during the period. A motorcyclist under the influence of alcohol crashed near Mislinja, a three‑vehicle collision in Velika Pirešica caused severe injuries, another crash in Javorje required helicopter evacuation, a head‑on collision near Muta injured two occupants, and a cyclist was seriously hurt after being hit by a truck in Slovenske Konjice. Police continue to appeal for witnesses and information to aid investigations.
