Slovenian Police Report Severe Injuries in Electric Scooter Collisions

Police in Slovenia confirmed multiple serious accidents involving electric scooters. In Ljubljana, a rider traveling the wrong way on a bike path collided with another scooter rider, sustaining life‑threatening injuries and being taken to the University Clinical Center Ljubljana. Two other participants suffered lighter injuries.

Earlier incidents in the coastal towns of Portorož and nearby villages also involved e‑scooter riders and other motorists, leading to arrests for traffic violations, intoxication and drug possession. Police have warned scooter users to obey traffic rules, travel in the correct direction and adjust speed to road conditions.
