Smart #2 electric city car previewed via global murals ahead of Paris debut

Smart, the Mercedes‑Benz city‑car brand, is set to launch the all‑electric two‑seater Smart #2 at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026. Before the official unveiling, the company has revealed the production design through large street‑art murals in major cities such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Melbourne, Berlin, Paris and others. The murals display the compact silhouette, rounded LED lights, a floating roof and other styling cues that will appear on the production model.

Technical details disclosed include a length of 2,792 mm, a turning circle of 6.95 m, a 35.7 kWh battery delivering a WLTP‑rated range of about 300 km, and DC fast‑charging from 10 % to 80 % in under 20 minutes. The car is built on Smart’s bespoke Electric Compact Architecture (ECA) platform and will feature an S‑shaped dashboard and a bench‑style front seat. No pricing or power figures have been released yet, but the marketing campaign under the slogan “Change of Perspectives” emphasizes the blend of premium design and urban street culture.
