Smart #2 electric city car shown in murals before Paris debut
Smart has previewed its upcoming electric two‑seater city car, the Smart #2, with large street‑art murals in six major cities – Berlin, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires and Melbourne. The murals, created with local artists, display the final exterior design and highlight the car’s compact dimensions (about 2.79 m long, 1.67 m wide, 1.55 m high) and its wheelbase of 1.875 m.
Regulatory filings in China revealed technical details: a 60 kW rear‑motor delivering roughly 82 hp, a 35.7 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery giving an estimated WLTP range of around 300 km, and fast‑charging capability of 10‑80 % in about 20 minutes (≈75 kW). Production will be handled by Geely’s Zhejiang Haoqing plant in China, with possible European production later. The model is slated for its world debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026, with market launch expected in the second quarter of 2027 and a price target of roughly €20,000‑€22,500.
