Smart #2 electric microcar unveiled in Rome ahead of Paris show

Smart presented the Concept #2, a preview of its upcoming electric two‑seater Smart #2, at an event in Rome. The vehicle is built on a new Electric Compact Architecture (ECA) platform designed specifically for ultra‑compact electric cars, featuring a 6.95‑metre turning circle and a 35.7 kWh battery for practical urban range. The design emphasizes tight manoeuvrability, safety with a modern Tridion cell, and efficient interior space, including a continuous seat and an S‑shaped cockpit. Smart aims the model at both private city drivers and commercial users such as car‑sharing and delivery services, positioning it as a compact, intelligent mobility solution for European streets. The production model is expected to debut at the Paris Motor Show later this year.
