Smart #2 images leaked via Chinese regulator

Images of the upcoming Smart #2 have surfaced online via the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) ahead of its scheduled debut. The vehicle, a two-seater following the silhouette of the brand's former Fortwo model, features a distinctive roof-mounted rear spoiler and angular headlights.

Technical specifications released in the report indicate the Smart #2 will weigh approximately 1,130kg and measure 2,751mm in length. The model is expected to be equipped with a 60 kW rear motor and a 30 kWh battery, supporting a projected driving range of 400km under the CLTC cycle. The vehicle will also feature frameless windows and conventional pull-type door handles.
