Smart launches all-electric #2 two-seater city car

Smart has officially introduced the #2, an all-electric two-seater city car designed to succeed the iconic fortwo. Developed on the Electric Compact Architecture (ECA) platform, the vehicle features a design by Mercedes-Benz and is built for high urban maneuverability with a turning circle of 6.95 meters and a length of approximately 2.75 meters.

The model is equipped with a 35.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a target range of up to 290 km under the WLTP cycle. It supports DC fast charging up to 65 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in roughly 20 minutes. The rear-wheel-drive vehicle produces up to 60 kW (80 hp) and 130 Nm of torque.

Global rollouts are underway, with a scheduled launch in China on November 5. In Greece, the car is available for order in Pure, Premium, and Couture Edition trims, with prices starting at €21,490. The limited Couture Edition is restricted to 999 units across Europe. In Chile, the model is expected to arrive through Kaufmann during the second half of 2027.
