SmartFit expands to Venezuela with new Caracas location

Brazilian fitness chain SmartFit has expanded its international presence to 17 countries with the opening of its first location in Venezuela. The new facility, spanning over 2,000 square meters, is located in the Chacaíto Shopping Center in Caracas.

To manage economic risks in the Venezuelan market, the company is utilizing a local franchise model. The unit will be operated by Fit Concept Store, C. A., a group that has previously managed SmartFit locations in Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica. CEO Diogo Corona stated that the company is entering the market gradually and cautiously through this partnership.

The expansion follows a period of strong financial performance for the group, which reported a net revenue of R$ 2.2 billion and a recurring net profit of R$ 204 million in the second quarter of 2026. The Caracas facility will offer weight training, cardio areas, functional spaces, group classes, and recovery areas, supported by the brand's digital training application.
