Smeg expands product range with new air fryer launch

Smeg, the Italian appliance manufacturer founded in 1948, has expanded its product lineup by entering the air fryer category with the launch of the AFC01 model.

The AFC01 features the brand’s signature retro-inspired design and is available in four colors: Black, White, Emerald Green, and Storm Blue. The appliance includes a 7.3L capacity, seven automatic preset programs, and a PFAS-free ceramic non-stick basket. It utilizes water spritz technology and dual cooking modes, such as ‘Crispy’ and ‘Juicy+Crispy’, to manage food texture.

Historically, Smeg—an acronym for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla—has focused on blending aesthetics with functionality, often collaborating with architects and designers to create products characterized by 1950s-style rounded shapes and vibrant colors.
