Smer-SD leads Progresívne Slovensko in Slovak election poll

A recent SANEP poll for TA3 shows the governing Smer‑SD party ahead of Progresívne Slovensko ahead of Slovakia's parliamentary elections, with 19.6% of decided voters versus 18.1% for the latter. The poll projects Smer‑SD would win 35 seats, Progresívne Slovensko 32, while the Republic movement would secure 21 seats. Smaller parties range from 11.6% for Republic to under 5% for several groups.

Trust in party leaders was also measured: Prime Minister Robert Fico of Smer‑SD received the highest personal trust at 41%, though 45% expressed distrust. The poll found limited enthusiasm for a potential conservative bloc composed of parties such as Slovensko, KDH, Za ľudí and others, with only 33.7% of respondents indicating support.
