Smilegate launches new MMORPG ‘Eclipse: The Awakening’

Smilegate has officially launched its new cross-platform MMORPG, ‘Eclipse: The Awakening’, available on PC and mobile devices. Developed by NPIXEL, the game utilizes Unreal Engine to provide high-quality graphics and strategic combat elements, such as terrain-based battles and diverse weapon combinations.

The title introduces a ‘MMOLite’ design philosophy, aiming to reduce the excessive spending, competition, and time commitment typically associated with the genre. Key features include an ‘AI Mode’ that allows characters to grow while offline and a ‘Sanctuary’ system that automatically provides growth resources over time.

Following a pre-registration period that attracted 1 million users, Smilegate is hosting various online and offline events to celebrate the launch. These include in-game rewards, payment discounts through various mobile carriers, and an offline collaboration with ‘Saeng-Hwal Beer’ to sell themed menu items and merchandise.
