Smilegate to launch new MMORPG ‘Eclipse: The Awakening’ on the 10th

Smilegate has announced the official launch of its new MMORPG, ‘Eclipse: The Awakening’, scheduled for 12:00 PM on the 10th. Developed by NPIXEL, the game aims to differentiate itself through a ‘MMOLite’ approach, which maintains traditional growth and combat mechanics while reducing the burden of long-term connectivity and intense competition.

Key features include cross-platform support for PC and mobile, with the ability to run up to two clients simultaneously. To support players with varying schedules, the game includes an ‘AI Mode’ that allows character progression even when the player is offline, and a ‘Sanctuary’ content system that provides summons and growth materials based on elapsed time.

To mark the launch, Smilegate will host a live broadcast on its official YouTube channel on the 5th at 8:00 PM. The broadcast, hosted by announcer Park Ga-young and featuring Lead Producer Lee Sang-moon, will reveal a new trailer, introduce major content and launch events, share the update roadmap, and conduct a real-time Q&A session with users.
