SMSEM opens applications for ‘Joven Promesa Sindical 2026’ award

The Sindicato de Maestros al Servicio del Estado de México (SMSEM), led by General Secretary Jenaro Martínez Reyes, has opened applications for the ‘Joven Promesa Sindical 2026’ recognition. The award is intended for affiliated teaching public servants up to 35 years of age who have demonstrated excellence in professional, academic, sporting, cultural, social, or union-political fields.

Candidates can apply through two methods: being proposed by their Delegational Committee or Union Representation, or submitting a self-proposal. Applicants must provide documentation to verify their merits and career trajectory.

Registration and document submission will take place from August 31 to September 12 at the Secretaría de Fomento a la Juventud Sindical in Toluca, or at Regional Union Houses. A commission will select two recipients, who will be honored during the SMSEM anniversary ceremony in October.
