Sơn La authorities recover body of missing man in Laos

Authorities in Sơn La Province have recovered the body of a 23-year-old man, identified as N. T. H. from Hanoi, after he went missing in the Ma River. The incident occurred on the afternoon of September 24 while the victim was riding a motorcycle across a pontoon bridge between Tiên Sơn and Là villages in Chiềng Khương commune.

Following the accident, the Firefighting and Rescue Police Department of Sơn La mobilized dozens of officers, specialized rescue vehicles, and boats to conduct search operations. Despite difficulties caused by the wide river, swift currents, and complex terrain, the search continued for nearly two days.

On September 26, search teams located the victim's body in the Muong Et district of Huaphan Province, Laos. The recovery operation was conducted by the Sơn La Firefighting and Rescue Police in coordination with local border guard posts and military commands.
