Sơn La Flood Finds Two Bodies, Search Continues for Third

Heavy rain on August 1 caused flash flooding in Chèo Bau village, Gia Phù commune, Sơn La province, Vietnam. The flood swept three people away. By the morning of August 2, rescue teams had recovered two bodies, identified as T.N. and T.T.N., each found about one kilometre from a motorcycle discovered in the stream.

Local authorities mobilised a joint task force, involving the provincial disaster‑prevention command, commune officials, and volunteers, to conduct night‑time searches and monitor weather conditions. Roads in the area suffered landslides and damage. The search for the third missing victim remains ongoing, with continued coordination between officials and residents.
