Snap introduces SPECS Intelligence proactive AI assistant

Snap has introduced SPECS Intelligence, a new proactive artificial intelligence service designed to operate across iPhone, Mac, and SPECS augmented reality glasses. Unlike traditional assistants that wait for specific commands, this system aims to build a continuous representation of a user’s goals, priorities, relationships, and routines.

By integrating with voluntarily connected tools and applications—such as Gmail and Google Calendar—the assistant can identify tasks requiring attention and present relevant information before it is explicitly requested. For example, it can assist in preparing for business meetings by gathering necessary documents or automatically reconstruct travel itineraries by consolidating flight and hotel booking details. The system is designed to maintain context and continuity across multiple devices.
