SNCF strike disrupts Normandy rail service July 31–August 2

A surprise strike by SNCF workers will affect train services between Paris and Normandy from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, 2026. The disruption covers major Nomad Résa lines including Paris‑Caen‑Cherbourg, Paris‑Rouen‑Le Havre, Paris‑Trouville‑Deauville, as well as Paris‑Vernon‑Rouen and Paris‑Évreux. Trains on the Paris‑Granville route and other regional lines will run normally.

SNCF Voyageurs urges passengers to postpone travel where possible due to expected high weekend traffic. Free ticket exchanges or refunds are available for affected Nomad Résa tickets, provided passengers modify their reservations before travel. Updated timetables will be posted on the SNCF website the day before departure.
